The Fulton County Taxpayers Foundation (FCTF) is a 501© (3) tax-deductible organization dedicated to reducing your property taxes. Since 1990, we have saved each homeowner in Atlanta and Fulton County thousands of dollars in property taxes. The FCTF is responsible for reducing property taxes, on average, by over $1000 per homeowner annually:
- The FCTF successfully filed suit against SB 77 in 2009, which attempted to unconstitutionally raise revenue which originated in the Senate and ot the House, which is required.
- Commending the Fulton County Taxpayers Foundation: read rhe Senate Resolution 446, 2009 Georgia Assembly Session, and read the Letter From Senator Eric Johnson
- The FCTF successfully ran a signature campaign keeping property tax increases out of the 2009 City of Atlanta budget.
- The FCTF, working with Atty. John Woodham, sued to keep the Beltline Project from using TAD funds and WON.
- The FCTF persuaded the Governor to retain the $10,000 Homestead Credit, saving every homeowner $478.
- The FCTF influenced the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to vote down a 1% Sales Tax increase.
- The FCTF successfully lobbied the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to fully rollback the tax rate, saving taxpayers 4.7% of their county tax.
- The FCTF negotiated with the County for a 3 year "lock-in" of property assessments set by the Board of Equalization.
- The FCTF has successfully removed the Board of Assessors in Fulton County.
